Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital is an Ultra modern multi specialty tertiary care hospital with medical research center. Each critical care bed is equipped with a highly sophisticated cardiac monitoring system, infusion and syringe pumps, Oxygen supply and Pressure for suction. The critical care unit is equipped with ventilators and defibrillators as life support systems.

The laboratory also offers an emergency / Stat menu of tests with a very short turn around time. Stringent quality assurance exercises in the department of laboratory medicine ensures reliable and high quality test results. The department participates in external quality assurance programme conducted by the Christian Medical College, Vellore where it has achieved and consistently maintained a high ranking.

         Imaging forms a key part of the diagnostic facilities at the hospital. The department offers general radiography, TMT & Echo cardiography as well as Ultra sonography

         Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital Blood bank is responsible for the safety and supply of blood for transfusion. In addition to screening blood donors for infectious diseases such as HIV, Malaria, VDRL and Hepatitis B, it has introduced routine testing for the lethal Hepatitis C virus, using advanced technology.
