Our Institution’s 3^rd Graduation Day for the batch of 2008 was conducted on 10^th March 2016.

The function was presided over by Honorable Chief Minister  of Puducherry Shri. N. Rangasamy along with Honorable Higher Education Minister Thiru.N. Siva , Chairman and  Managing Director Sri. M. Dhanasekaran, Vice Chairman Sri.S.V. Sugumaran, Secretary  Dr. Narayanasamy Kesavan, Director  Dr. D. Ragagovindan, Deputy Director Dr. R.N. Kagne, Dean  Dr. M. Amaranathan,  Dean [Academic] Dr. Karthikeyan, Medical Superintendent  Dr. Vetrikodi were present. Director Dr. D. Rajagovindan delivered the welcome address and  presented the Annual report.

Chairman and Managing Director  Sri.M. Dhanasekaran gave the presidential address.  In his address he stressed on the need for short term and long term goals amongst the students.  He also thanked the chief guest honorable Chief Minister  for his wholehearted support and untiring efforts to make medical education affordable to all classes of society.

The Chief Minister in his convocation day address said he is very happy to be presiding over the Graduation Day of SMVMCH which is the preferred college by CENTAC students who appear for counseling.He also lauded the Yeomen service rendered by the institution to the society making quality healthcare affordable to all.He then pointed out the fact that Puducherry state has become the Doctor producing hub of the nation due to the zeal shown by the Government in making higher education affordable one through Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Education Assistance Scheme.

He also said even kids of weavers have become Doctors through sheer determination, Hard work and Government’s assistance to Deserving candidates.He then congratulated SMVMCH graduates for securing 7 gold medals and 2 University Ranks from Pondicherry University despite the examination being one of the most tough exam in the country.He stated, he felt immense pleasure in knowing that SMVMCH students have jointed PG courses in premier institutes like AIIMS, JIPMER, PGI Chandigarh, MMC.

He also requested all the Young, vibrant doctors to have the will Mindset to work in rural areas and in places where their services are atmost required.Following the Honorable CM’s address Gold medals were presented to the medal winners by the CM, the graduates were also given 1 Sovereign Gold coin as a token of appreciation by the management, then all the Graduates were presented with their Degree Certificates by the Honorable CM.

Then Deputy Director Dr. Kagne administered Hippocrates Oath to the Graduates.The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.Vetrikodi.S the Medical Superintendent.
